Random test ride

Post by D6Nutz »

So, today, 3 of is from work descended on a local dealers for a test ride. One of the guys hasn't ridden for 7 years, so the choice of bike was probably quite sensible but unlikely to appeal to a few here.

We took out Harley's !

My choice was a soft tail breakout, the one in front.

The plan was a gentle ride up to Henley to give my mate time to get used to riding again. For such a heavy old lump is quite easy to ride, very stable but that could have something to do with the 240 section rear tyre (shocked) after much traffic and 30 limits we parked up by the river and found a cafe with good cake and a 'view' ;)

Then we headed back. This time the route was a bit twistier and faster, is surprised at how capable the hog was on the bends. The only real issue was ground clearance, at 120mm the hero blobs where a bit shorter when I handed it back to the dealer (giggle)

Not quite sure I'm ready to by one just yet, but it was a good fun ride. The dealer has also invited us back to try out some r other bikes (happy) well it would be rude to refuse..

LOL. It wasn't bad cake, but not up to Lucy's standards.

Not a Harley fan personally but definitely a worthwhile experience if nothing else.

PS the cake does look good.

I quite like the look of the on you rode. I would never buy that style bike but as a posser type bike looks good.
