New R1 for 2016
Well maybe it's about as clear as mud tbh
Loads of rumours about an R1-S.
Some claim it as a higher spec than the already top draw R1M, some suggest a basic model with electronics removed to reduce cost others it's a US market only bike. What is true though is Yamaha have registered the following names.
R1, R1M and R1S so something is coming, just nobody knows what.

Re: New R1 for 2016
So they're doing a lot of guessing
Basic model, blinged up model and full on track bike makes sense.

Re: New R1 for 2016
I can't see it being higher spec than the R1M I mean what else can they put on it, LOL
But being serious they are using the M in R1M to signify a close relationship to the M1 so can't see them making he R1M version a second tier model perosnally.
But then I'm usually wrong so who knows TBH it doesn't sound like Yamaha know, haha

Re: New R1 for 2016
New colours too which are needed for the R1M as it's trying too hard.
The basic blue and silver R1 looks ten times better than the fully tricked up special R1M and that shouldn't be so.

Re: New R1 for 2016
Too much white, red is too dark, white is too silver, no blocks.
You can tell I don't like it

Re: New R1 for 2016
They need to do one in Yamaha speed blocks. Either black on yellow or red on white.

Re: New R1 for 2016
That's easily fixed.
Get a red and white and see Pitty for some speed block decals.

Re: New R1 for 2016
Apparently Yamaha has sold out of all 2015 R1s.
Not difficult tbh when you search the classifieds and found out there all pre-registered in dealers.
