Would not be without one of these kits under my seat, best thing ever.
I fixed a puncture early morning on a TS ride out, I was heading to the services on the M5 to meet Kingfixer, this was around Stratford somewhere when the tyre went.

First real time of trying this I think, I have never been so quick on a bike, from there to the meeting point (obviously I was running late now) I thought well if it lasts this abuse, then it will last for the days ride out to Wales and that lovely village - I am not a number! Ha ha

Will it did and the tyre was used for its full life until natural demise.

Can only endorse what others are saying. I had a puncture last Friday and altougth not this partulicular kit I did have a repair kit with me which saved me waiting in the rain for the breakdown people who also charge for recovery of a puncture if further than 10 miles. I have full home recovery but when you read the small print it's for breakdowns only and a simple puncture is a tow to the nearest tyre fitter within 10 miles who may not be able to offer a repair or have the exact tyre in stock you want. If people are thinking breakdown services could help with a puncture it may be worth considering the above.

Oh and the kit is a doddle to use and takes all of about 2 minutes.

I have a question why does the tyre have water on it? What relevance does water have in this case!!? Anyway seems a great product. Must invest in something like this at some point but I'm.sure it wouldn't fit under the seat...I can just fit a disc lock under it haha!!

My underseat is pretty tight also Rossgo. I stripped my kit down to bare essentials and had to unpack it and just squeeze individual items in nooks and crannies but it went in there and proved it's worth last weekend.

Lucky you had it on you Blade. I read your thread you was off on a ride then t it next post hours later was got a puncture! Least it saved you from what could of been a nightmare!

Would you **** believe it. I just got a puncture on the way home today. Only had the tyres fitted for a couple of weeks too.

Loooks like I am ordering some.

Just about managed to get home, absolutely **** all air in the tyre. The last few corners were pretty weird.

D if it's on the middle section of the tyre you can get it repaired.

Was it front or rear out of interest ?

A question, it was a stanley blade that was imbedded in the tyre. As such the damage is a slit rather than something done by a nail. Will these still plug it? Is there a maximum width of hole they can plug? At a guess the slit is around 10mm

I think that is gone tbh D. They plug using a mushroom which I don't think will fix a slit of 10 mm unfortunately.

Bollox, thats what I thought when I saw it was a plug and you use a reamer to clean the hole.

Might get it and try anyway. At least I'll have 4 plugs left afterwards

Those kits are for temporary repairs only D. You are then supposed to go to a tyre fitters and get a professionally fitted repair that meets a british standard. If you read the small print on these portable repair kits they say things like do not exceed 50mph and 40 miles in distance.

If you had a smash and your insurer found you had a repaired tyre that was not suitable they could argue your bike is not road worthy and not pay out. It has been mentioned elsewhere so there is potential it could happen.
