224mph

Was the top speed at Miugello today by Dovi.

It's almost impossible to comprehend speeds like that on a bike. It's getting not far off to 100mph faster than I have ever been on a bike.

168 is my fastest. In France. That was weird, it's like you're in a bubble

156 is the fastest I've been. Nearly 70mph more and I'm there!

Best I've done is 172 mph (278 km) and that was last track day. Dunno how reliable the ZX speedo is thou' or if it still has standard gearing even.

224 is nuts, can't even fathom it.

It definitely is surreal, at Eastern Creek you hit it with the pit wall on one side and the grandstand on the other, playing chicken with the brake markers and forcing yourself not to turn in too soon for turn 1. It is such a sensory overload.

180 on the clocks on the blackbird don't think it was a reliable figure but it felt so easy no drama.

To hit 224mph at the end of a straight only to then pile on the brakes and no doubt hit an apex is mind boggling.
My top score (and the reason I won't buy a litre bike) is 185 on the clock on a fireblade. It was a bit surreal how easy and comfortable it was.

Watched the onboard lap of when Dovi did the 361 kmph as a mate at work has full motogp.com access so can watch loads of video clips and the whole lap was brutal and very physical.

I also watched the Lorenzo hot lap and although 20 kmph slower on the straight I reckon lornezo will win today as his lap was so much less physical and effortless and therefore his consistency and race pace will be much easier and therefore consistently faster IMO.

No wonder they have them little spoilers on the faring on the dukes. That is an amazing speed, how the fook do the brakes cope?

To hit 224mph in such a relatively short distance is unreal. Track must look 6ft wide at that speed!

Read the title and mistakenly thought our Rossi had been out in Wales again, haha (giggle)
