I went to have a look at the demo bike in BMW Wolves this afternoon.

I will try and get a test ride in a few weeks but have to say the quality of the finish appears to be a bit disappointing for a £15k bike. The bike had only been in use since last weekend but it didn't look like a brand new bike to me.

Still until I have tried one i guess I will reserve judgement and it did feel good to sit on.

They obviously don't Take care of it, our bike has been in use 24/7 with test rides and me taking it home when I can lol, but we make sure it is cleaned and checked regular so that the customer gets to ride a good clean quality Machine every time. :)

I have noticed a varying degree of care when it comes to demo bikes.

I don't think it was just the level of care taken. The quality of finish doesn't seem to be as good as my Multi.

Ha ha cheers mate, Funny enough the bike is in my man cave at the moment, just had to take it home last night for another little spin.

The sold models are coming through now, they do look good, must say the white one looks epic too.

I keep thinking that even though it used the engine which is in mine It would be a little less responsive, nothing of the sort, the power and fun in dynamic pro mode is mad! I would have the same savings on tyres if I used this one, if you get my drift ha ha ha ha.....

Good review here. Think this will appeal to more than a few sportsbike owners.

BMW really have transformed their bike image from boring old touring bikes into modern, fun, high performing machines.

Great review, I love his reworld down to earth style :)

Great quote "its like a GS for people who don't want a shitty old boring GS" (rolf)

Quote of the review though is related to his opinion on its looks " its not going to get woman quaking in their own fanny batted though " (giggle)

You having one kiwi ?

To steal a quote. "It's like a GS for people who don't want a shitty old boring GS" haha

Awesome bike by all accounts (y) and I know you loved the big Multi on your NZ tour.

I would have a Multi or an XR at a drop of a hat.. but it's not going to happen for a while. Got to get the Daytona on the road (it is getting closer!) and get through the impending doom and associated financial fallout. Once the dust has settled and my bank account is my own I'll look at my situation and options. I'll be taking on a sizable mortgage again which ever way it plays out, so I don't think an out lay of $25-30K will sit well with me. I'll probably trade the daytona in on a sport tourer (still quite like the Sprint GT) at around $10K until I'm comfortable spending more on a toy. I'll keep the ZX10R for the track regardless for my balls out riding and have something I can be more responsible on to enjoy on the road.
