The Angel ST is another one to look at. They're an older tyre so they're cheaper but they're supposed to be an ace all rounder.

Your right to give it careful consideration Rossgo.

Tyres have the biggest influence on performance, handling, braking and ultimately the most important factor confidence.

Buy the best you can afford and what your happy with. Saving a few quid on tyres is not always a wise decision although as pointed out there are some bargains on very good tyres.

I'm sure you will make the eight choice.

Definitely right there Blade, must admit I do always do my homework on tyres before buying. I remember I had Dunlop Qualifiers on my CBR400RR all those years ago and they were amazing when up to temp. a lot of feel and great turn in characteristics. However I knew the difference when they were cold or wet, then I came off in the cold with cold tyres and I knew then that tyres were so important on a bike and finding the right ones for what you use it for. Very interesting subject I personally think!

Anyway I'll prob be doing this in a few weeks so your all know then. But I think I know what I want!!

Brand new pilot power on the rear and I must say it feels great. Nicely scrubbed in now with around 130 miles out onto it and more tomorrow and Sunday. Need to use that whole tyre now

It always amazes me how much taller the rear feels with a new back tyre. Like it's been boosted a few inches, not just a few mm

Yes me and my dad commented on the exact same thing! I took a look at the old tyre and compared to the new one. Can't believe how much rubber has worn on the old one, the wear marks were almost to the rubber!
