Special Forces - Ultimate Hell Week on BBC2
I like seeing these people who insist going to the gym 3 times a week is all it takes to make it into the special forces.

Re: What you watching?
Mental toughness is what they want in special forces recruits. How fit your are is pretty much irrelevant. They can train field craft skills and build fitness to extreme levels but your born a stubborn cu"t or your not and they want the most stubborn cu"ts they can get there hands on.
The type of stubborn cu"t who will never ever stop going foward whatever the challenge what ever the odds. They want people who will just never ever give in.

Re: What you watching?
My uncle was PT instructor for the marine commandos. My aunt always said they never argued, because John would give a yes or no answer to her ideas or suggestions. That was his answer. You weren't going to change it. He was a strip of piss. Nothing to him. One of the quickest thinkers I've known - he would clock everything around him on a continuous basis so the moment he needed to do something he already had made his mind up.
Unsurprisingly he was a PITA to live with, so the marriage didn't last.

Re: What you watching?
The films will have you believe special forces soldiers are super muscle man and there normally the complete opposite.
In my experience they are quiet, calm, intelligent, observant, professional, skilled, supremely fit, mentally tough stubborn bar$tards

Grand Prix, the 1966 film with James Garner when car racing was worth watching.
Wanted to see how Monza has changed in 50 years from our visit a few weeks ago - the answer is very little.

Wildlife prog last night on BBC2 about India
It's a shame that countries with such a diverse wildlife can't seem to allow it to live alongside us.

It was alright in the 1970s
TV was ace back then. No one gave a shit and the drugs are clearly taking effect.
