Circuit Val De Vienne
Well it was a nice day today, so i went to my local race circuit - Val De Vienne. Its only 40 mins away cross country and ive been past it a few times, but wanted to suss it out for race meetings (French Superbike Championship and GT cars go there) as well as the occasional cheeky trackday
Great place, lovely relaxed atmosphere! Its a holiday here in France today so we just popped over to see what it was like. It happened to be a trackday - very well organised, lots of space, lots of serious track kit and seemingly run in a similar way to the uk with 3 sessions for Novice, Inters and Fast.
Far more laid back than in the UK. We could wander anywhere, talk to anyone - really felt welcome.
Very clean and tidy, very modern facilities too. Twisty circuit with a reasonable start finish straight:
Here are a few pics i took (tiny canon camera - sorry)
Parked the car next to some italian shite:
And an onboard

I may not have time this year for a trackday, but will certainly try one next year when i have more time!

Re: Circuit Val De Vienne
It was the fast group out when I took the pics, but the novices and inters seemed to have a decent mix of both. I saw plenty of road gixers and blades. The french love triumphs too seemingly and there were plenty of those.
I certainly felt I wouldn't be out of place taking the mirrors off the RC8 and razzing it round
