Blimey, I thought that bike was a keeper. You've spent a lot of time and money on it.

Like Duke with his 748 I'm always toying with the idea of selling.

Instead of two sportsbikes I could have a sportsbike and something different is the way Im thinking as a possibility.

That's been my usual approach, 600cc sports bike and 1000 naked.

Problem is there are so many good bikes out now, so narrowing it down is difficult

Totally agree Kwacky. There is too much choice of too many great bikes. I do like the balance I have with my bikes. An out an out sportsbike and also something much more comfortable but still with a very sporting feel to it.

So what would be people's two dreams bikes ?

If I'm being sensible then the SX and the ZX6R is a good combo for me. I do like the new speed triple and if I could trust the build quality then an S3 and zzr1400 would be fun. As much as I love sportsbikes I rarely do track days and you can have as much fun on our roads riding a naked as you can with a sportsbike

If I can buy that 853 engine I may well have my dream bikes next year. Not very far off now.

Ideas are Multi, GS, R nine T, V4 Tuono, 1200 Monster, S1000XR.

Something a little more chilled out for a bimble and maybe take a pillion.

Fwiw I think I'm about done with sports bikes on the road, so my ideal two would be a Multi and either a Bonneville scrambler or an original old bike, anything from 30's to 70's would be good, mind you that also implies I'd have the time to keep it fettled properly.

A Ducati sportbike...although offhand I can't say exactly which....but it wouldn't have to be sommit 'exclusive' or ltd. run.....think I'm done with the 'continual modding' thing....gearing would be about the most I'd want to change. Ish.

For the second one I have no idea...a mate has an old Thruxton which he's poured thousands into.....it's one of the nicest bikes I've ever seen. I'd steal it from him and move house, pretend I didn't know him, etc.

I'm pretty happy with my mix at the moment. The Multi which can be chilled but still sporty enough to get into plenty of trouble on the road, comfortable for miles and miles and great two up. The ZX10R for the track.

Only problem is as a work away/single dad lifestyle I'm struggling to see when I'm going to get out to a track day.

So much like Deegee I'm thinking if I can get the use out of it get something old school for short bimbles and the like. Always fancied a GB500 TT.

taking a pillion means no V4 Tuono. Much depends on what sportsbike you bought IMHO. Go extreme with the sportsbike means a slightly more laid back other bike. The MT10 ought to be high on the list and Ducati Strretfighter is another option.

Take your time mate. Maybe one will just pop up at the right price with the right extras etc and you will just know that's the one you want.
