At least twice a year I ask my neighbour "if I can trim her bush, as her front garden is looking a little unkempt"....
Never gets a response (dull)
Fwiw mate, my neighbour's wife is in her 60's (at least), but will have been a little minx when she was younger & has a sense of humour (albeit somewhat tested by having to put up with me living next door).
There are only two houses on our lane, so maintaining good neighbourly relations is pretty much obligatory IMHO
Not today, but was out on the mtb yesterday with MiniGee, only 8-9 miles, but we both loved it, we've ridden together before but he was never that into it, so only did a mile or two then moaned. He rekindled his enthusiasm when we were on holiday, and had been mathering me to take him round the "circuit" I normally ride. Out again at the weekend I think.
Flying off this metal f**king nightmare and going home!!
4 weeks Offshore isn't 'just an extra week' it's a bloody slog. I reckon the last week was harder than the first 3. It's not been an easy swing either, over a 1/4 of the Ops personnel were off sick/injured or otherwise so well under manned and then add in swinging from nights to days and an unplanned plant shutdown/start up its been a doozy!!
A few guys I know that have done 4 week stints before warned me, but like a petulant teenager I thought 'meh, soft buggers'. Now I get it.
Well the bad dream is over and I now have 7 WEEKS OFF!!! just hope the helicopters don't have problems today as it's Jess' birthday and I really wanna get home!
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.
Just got called into the Ops Supers office. Thought I was in the shite for something. Got given a $200 voucher for a National Wide Camping and Fishing chain as special regonition for my flexibility and work output this swing. I filled in for three different roles and as mentioned swapped from nights to days half way thru'. Bit of a surprise especially since the Ops Super that gave it to me is my lest favourite out of the lot!!

Thats pretty awesome! The last reward i got from work for similar flexibility and working a lot of overtime was a company mug... No message in that at all..

. Perhaps you two could meet for lunch at a GastroPub, ( think chargeable expenses) so that Kwacky could interview you to see if you had any pertinent memories of the events.??
Probably won't be any less productive than any other interviews he conducts...
