Re: What are you eating ??
Needed some comfort eating after yesterday's debacle so drove up on to the tops and enjoyed some lunch with a view, watching the flights come into Ringway
6oz gammon burger, 4 oz British pork and cracked black pepper burger and tender pulled pork on a brioche seeded bun, skewered with pork crackling and an apple sauce

Last minute decision to have a barbecue so raided the freezer
Come up with some Chorizo Sausage, Sirloin Steak and made some seafood kebabs and missus made a salad and some part baked bread. Not turned out to bad for a last minute lash up

Lash up????
Like that. Don't know what it means, but I like it anyway. /Think it might have a different meaning here.....usually involves alcohol here.

Re: What are you eating ??
Indeed!!
I remember the times I was over there with the ex......Usually took about a week of "?????"s before she'd start falling into some vague Geordie/US. brogue.
It's the words themselves that usually cause the issue, because everything is 'one step over' if that makes sense.
Chips = Fries.
Crisps = Chips. (Unless they're Pringles, which are 'crisps' via the US Supreme Court, FFS!! (and disgusting).
etc.

Re: What are you eating ??
We have a new chef on in the galley, my god he's good! I'm going to get so fat this swing.
Deep fried battered bananas and caramel icecream for afternoon smoko today
Then the tenderest roast beef I've had in years tonight with roast spuds vege and gravy.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.
