Today I had a full English at a moto motorway services, Burger King lunch and and an Aldi processed fish pie for dinner.

Feel very lethargic and slightly nauseous, but that could be the wine or the 4.30am start.

Urgh, DG....that's gross!! :D

I don't have a sweet tooth at all....my one failing is that I do enjoy a Cadbury's Flake in my ice cream....except I only eat ice cream mebbe 3 times a year.

TBH, I hadn't realized until reading through this thread that I'm quite a picky eater....I do salads & soups...stuff like that.
I'm not vegetarian, but I don't eat a lot of meat...very little. Fish is about the only fried thing I'll eat.....and as mentioned earlier, a few of us seem to have high blood pressure, so I avoid pork, bacon, etc.

DG that looks amazing. My girlfriend has done a little bit of baking recently, brownies and some lemon coconut thing, so nice but she tried to bake some blueberry muffins and they came out like hard doughy paste that had the taste to go with it!

Hmmm....I had some Mexican food me lass made last night...a slightly spicy chicken soup, and some stuff called "torta" (spelling??).....which is a toasted bread roll stuffed with beef and baked beans...very good.

I missed out on dinner last night, so decided to go large on a late brunch, Mrs Gee cooked a dozen Stilton and a dozen normal sweet Scones. Now I am extremely fond of Stilton scones and made a pig of myself, I've eaten 9 of them and my stomach is now protesting. Burp.

I've knocked up some dough for thin and crispy pizzas for dinner this evening, not sure how much I'll feel like eating at this rate though.

I prefer the rising crust pizza, but either one works.

Doing dinner tonite.....sea scallops & bok choy done in a chicken stock, and lamb chops and roasted potatoes.

Yum....the pulled-pork baps sound yummy....as long as they don't have any disgusting BBQ sauce on them...hate that stuff.

My dinner has not gone to plan....sea scallops must be out of season.....or maybe close to extinction....those they had at the store looked pathetic, and defo not worth $13.00lb.

So I went with cod fillets, which looked decent.....you lot reckon I can do a curry with lamb, cod, & potatoes??

Oh shite....and bok choy??

Dry cured back bacon, pork and apple sausage, black pudding, field mushrooms, couple of eggs, chorizo spicy baked beans, tomato plus a couple of door stops of farmhouse white toast and fresh coffee. Yum yum a nice lazy morning as everyone out and watching racing at motegi.

I'd do a straight Lamb curry with a side of Bombay potato, but shred some of the bok choy into the Bombay potato near the end of cooking to add colour and texture, too soon and the bok will be tasteless with no texture. You could always do a cod starter, cut one of the fillets into strips and cover it in egg and breadcrumbs and lightly fry it, that would go well with a small dressed salad.

Just an idea anyway.

Alright.....sounds good.

I'm actually a pretty decent cook at times....my problem is I'm prone to 'over-experiment' once I get something down.....salads I'm good at...same with lamb, beef, etc.....useless at BBQing.

Have you got any Indian supermarkets D? Your going to need Garam masala, turmeric, chilies, cumin seeds and a bucket of coriander as a bare minimum.

Whaaat??

Not really....we have Tescos, and they do some decent ready-made curries....I suppose I could use that and just do a very light sauce....just to add a touch - wor lass has never had curry before, so I just want to splash a bit around in a way she can avoid if she doesn't like it, if that makes sense.

I could do a balsamic reduction sauce, but that's not going to work with fish.
