Trying to get an emergency appointment at the Dentist, I broke a molar last night eating an orange of all things, what I thought was a pip was actually a chunk of tooth. Not quite what I wanted 10 days before Crimbo.

Flying off to Amsterdam this afternoon with er indoors , we always go away for a weekend just before Christmas. Ive only been to Amsterdam twice and that was only to the consulate to try and get a passport as I lost mine when I was working over there.

Happy new Car day Blade, hope it even exceeds your expectations.
Ouch Deegee. Never a good time for a broken tooth, but Christmas has to be the worst ...
Enjoy your Dutch Dash Kingfixer, trust that Mrs K will ensure you're safe (no leaving your wallet & passport somewhere in the dodgy part of town this time ).

And yet they accept it so readily in almost every other facet of life.Kwacky wrote:I think you're right, but that has to be on the decline as younger people become less interested in driving. Most blokes reckon they're a good driver. Handing control over to a computer can't be something they're going to accept easily.
But yes....I know only one guy who'll happily tell you he's a crap driver (and he's actually not that bad).
You know it the moment when you get in a car with someone for the very first time.....they start adjusting the seat, adjusting the mirrors, etc.....just getting rolling is a "piece of theatre". ....you know you're in for a er, "memorable" ride.
Maybe your last....

Re: What are you doing today ??
I saw the Dentist and he’s dremelled the sharp edges off for the time being, but I’m in the chair for an hour on Tuesday morning getting the tooth drilled, filled and rebuilt. That’ll be a face full of drugs rendering me useless for most of Tuesday, it’ll be fun if they try using anything Morphia based - as it promotes a nasty reaction from me.....StMarks wrote: Ouch Deegee. Re: What are you doing today ??
I’d be interested too! Loved those cars when I was younger, we got all the British cast off in NZ before they started importing used jap cars in the mid 90’s. I had a 1964 Mk 1 Cortina as my first car!! There were heaps or euro cars too, Lada’s, Fiats, Alfa’s, VW’s etc.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: What are you doing today ??
got a phone call to say that i can take one of my bikes in for a full overhaul, great as it's well in need of attention so charging the battery and cleaning it later, glad i sent the garage guy an xmas card as that may have brought me up the queue a bit.
