Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Went off to Cassington Bike Meet last night with arranged by 675cc farmer, rode around 95 mile trip in total, very rare for a school night.
When I got home I smelt something that can only be described as raw sewage. Hopped off and saw steam coming out of the seat! Think my rectifier has gone because my battery has swelled right up! Bike is out of action once again. ONLY just got .it back on road. Grrrr

I pumped the tyre up last night. You can hear some air coming out of the hole but the pressure is very slow in dropping.
Seeing as it's only for a few days I'm tempted to leave it and ride the bike to the service, rather than waste a puncture kit.
I'll use the car for work this week. Gives me a chance to catch up on some music.

Can you take the foreign body out and then run a self tapping screw smeared in silicone sealant back in as a temp fix to get to Mikes at the weekend.

Good idea but with the air coming out so slowly I think I'm going to risk it.
It's going to Kawasaki Birmingham, which is about 5 miles from mine.

I reckon you will be fine for 5 miles but maybe take the above and a foot pump in a rucksack in case you get caught out.

I've got some of those little air cannisters under the pillion seat with the repair kit.
My footpump is one of those large double efforts. It weighs a tonne.

If you mean my tyres post, I think its something to do with what order it posts when using the phone to upload a message with pictures.Kwacky wrote:I'm hoping you've got those the wrong way round.
I posted the worn tyre first, and then typed more then posted the new tyre. but for some reason it then showed the last picture first, and not the order I uploaded them.

Personally, after riding on a shagged out chain, for what they cost I would replace it. You've got piece of mind over wondering if the chain is going to snap and do horrible things...kingfixer wrote:Ive just ordered a chain tool, may take a link or two out.?

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Changed the position of the bar end mirrors. I wasn't happy with having to look down so far so I whipped em off and moved them to their alternative position.
I'm off to work on the bike tomorrow so I'll see how they turn out.
Also fitted some Probolt engine bolts.
Before...
After...
Need to give the bike a wash now!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
The chain isn't shagged its just slightly too big, it's in quite good condition TBH. having a +4 rear sprocket on and now down to plus +1 I just have to take the slack up which is a bit more than I bargained for.D6Nutz wrote:Personally, after riding on a shagged out chain, for what they cost I would replace it.
