Do you get your bike or do you do it yourself? How much do you normally pay for an interim service ie oil and filter?

I always serviced my own.. super simple for oil, plugs and filters. Would often clean the EGR valves too

That reminds me i need to get mine done. I usually do it myself but i need a software update for my heated grips so will have to pay a stealer to do it...

I get the dealer to service them while they're still under warranty.

Just been quoted £300 plus VAT for a plug service by Fowlers in Gloucester. I've replied asking what is included in that price. I'm buggered if I'm paying that just for an oil change!

I bought my SV650 from them and asked for a service when I bought it.. they never even did the oil.
Check out how much plugs are, I used to get mine for about £20 a set. Also find out how involved it is to get to the back two cylinders, it may be a half day job for an amateur

If its a plug service then I reckon there's a couple of hours labour getting to and replacing the plugs as well as the usual changes and checks

Might as well wait for a plug service and just change the oil myself. It's due valve clearance in 4K miles so they can do both jobs at the same time?

Place to go is AP Performance in Tamworth. Bit of a trek for you but will be worth every penny. Griff is a genius when it comes to Aprilias and will only do what needs doing.

I can second this recommendation. Despite it
being a 4 hour round trip for me, it was the only place I would take my RSV.
I still remember the first time I talked to Griff, the stator had burned out and he talked me through how to replace it. Never asked for a penny for his time.
He's also a suspension genius if you want your suspension setup.
