They seem to be a bunch of patronising fecktards on that site. Now someone is being told off for not cleaning his bike after each ride, WHICH IS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT OF BIKE OWNERSHIP.

I was once at one of the Wootton Bassett rides, waiting with hundreds of other bikers to be let out on the road. I went to the loo and left Rosa (who was a year old) with my two mates.

I got back to find my mate being slagged off because the R1 - which didn't belong to him - was dirty. By some mid-30s twat who blatantly still lived with his mum, and it turned out, rode an L-plated raggedy old CBF125.

On the way to the meet up point, it was pouring with rain and we'd been on country roads and this utter **** twat had the balls to say that I didn't deserve to own my bike because I couldn't keep it properly clean. Amongst the barrage of swearing that he left under, you may have heard the words "when you can afford one and are allowed to ride one, you can spend your whole life cleaning it, can't you, you ****?".

Honestly. **** off telling other people how to own their things and worry about your own life, innit.

Typically I keep a chain for a year but this DID XW ring chain is doing good. I clean it every month or two and keep it lubed and adjusted.

The aluminium AFAM sprocket on the rear is doing really well too. I've done 2 trackdays and more than 2000 miles on it and it's still immaculate.

There are a couple of them on that site who can't understand why they don't ride their bikes and keep their bikes the same way thy do. It's twats like that who put me off doing the IAM course. Patronising twunts.

I'm getting a new chain and sprocket when I get the bike serviced.

My chain has lasted since I got the bike, so somewhere around 5-6000 miles.

Probably still got the original lube on too!
