Surviving another 40+ deg day. Moved to a thermos mug as my gin was going warm to quickly in a glass.

Jealous.
Of the alcohol, not the weather.
Spent the day at some lame-o "$ave the planet" event a friend is involved with.
Bunch of hippies.

Boys day out for me and the eldest.
We've been invited to the new BMW 5 series model launch at a swanky 5 star country hotel so it should be a good day out.
My lad is starting to get into cars so Im just very excited to share a great day out with him as he seems very impressed and excited by it all.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Watched some YouTube videos, then did the food shopping and now about to head off to Ice Skating. However my head is feels like it's being banged on a wall and my nose is runny and under my eyes are feeling like someone is pushing against them and also my eyes are feeling very heavy but I am awake. I'm not used to feeling like this and if I do I tend to not moan about feeling bad, hate feeling weak but it's starting to get on my tits now, so been busy all morning and will be soon with skating do try to take my mind off it lol!!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just got back from the BMW 5 series launch and me and my son had an awesome day out.
Hats off to BMW they know how to do a launch.
Swanky 5 star country hotel with about 20 plus high spec cars to drive.
We want out in the new 530d msport, 740d, X6 3.0d Msport and the best of all a X5 M50D which was a triple turbo monster with enough torque to pull a house down
The hospitality was second to none. Champagne on arrival, anything you wanted from the bar, anything you wanted in the Grill, restaurant and when we were leaving we were given a free BMW motorsport umbrella and a pass for 2 people to use the hotel leisure facilities and have two spa treatments valid for 12 months.
Never got any sales patter at all, never asked for any details or hassle of any description quite the opposite in fact talked about bikes to the Sales Advisor for most of the time as he had an R6 and wants to get a new R1.
Great day out with my boy and he was equally impressed with the whole experience which made it all the more enjoyable for me to see the excitement and enthusiasm on my lads face.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Watching my son having a full on strop.
He wants to go to his mate's house.
He's not washed, still in his pyjamas, done no revision for his black belt and dinner is at 7. Plus it means having to drive him there and picking him up.
So I said no.
Worst. Dad. Ever.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Pretty much Duke! The weekend was the hottest conditions I've ever experienced here since I moved. Saturday topped out at 47 deg C where I live. Everyone is a bit grumpy and irritable this morning as the last few nights have not been the best for sleeping.duke63 wrote:kiwikrasher wrote:Surviving another 40+ deg day. Only 32 deg forecast today thank godness as I have the lawns and gardens to do!

Crap me that's hot! We stayed at a hotel in Delhi called Ringos Guest House which was basically the top floor of a building with an extra corrugated steel roof and nearly died at 45C. No AC and the fan was like a flame thrower!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Home alone trying to calm my nerves and clear all the claret up of the kitchen floor.
Went down the shops and got the missus some flowers this morning. When I got home I was in a mad rush and stupidly when cutting the end of the stems with some heavy duty scissors I hacked a big chunk of my little finger off
Alot of blood and pain and pretty hard on your own to tape the dam thing back on. Lucky I have some steristrips so banged a few of them on and now sat on the couch with a brew trying to calm down and not feel like a great big stupid tit.
Can't be arsed with 4 hours in A&E so hopefully I ve taped the little fooker back on pretty well
and if not at least got a silly story to tell ![Blush (blush)](./images/smilies/emoticon-0111-blush.gif)
