That's the big issue here in the UK as well.
Depends....overstaying your visa is not illegal...but it's also not done at anything like the level of illegal border crossings...it also gets people into the workplace at a totally different end of the pay scale than your typical day laborer from Mexico who buys himself a paintbrush and then masquerades as a "decorator".
Bottom line, and despite anything else....they love Europeans here. Mexicans....not so much.
My concern is that it is another CI that he's going to do his very best to live up to the rhetoric. "Agree with me & back me 100% or you're out " is the tactic we've all seen before. Perhaps our American friends should enjoy the next four years, because at the end of his term in office I suspect he'll make a run at being their first Dictator.??
You know, when he fires someone from a position, he does actually bring in someone else to replace them.
He brought in someone to fulfill an interim role. That person has said publicly that they will not do the job asked of them. There is no-one of sane mind anywhere that would keep someone on like that....try telling your own boss the same thing and see how long you last....
I'm not sure what the UK protests hope to achieve but at least the UK public have remembered that they can take to the streets.
That's because they're unemployed. They have the time.
My whole family went on the Buxton protest and it's restored my faith in humanity.
Only about 80 of us and we left all the protest signs nailed to our local Tory MP's office and then everyone stood up and said their bit.
Standouts for me was a local ex RAF chap in his seventies that had flown for the USAF at pains to remind us that Americans are fundamentally decent people and a local Polish chap in his twenties. His Grandad had escaped from a German camp in the 40s and set off East around the world, eventually landing in Liverpool after a lap of the world. He got on a train and decided that where ever it stopped first that's where he was going to live. Turned out to be Glossop a few miles away!
Never forget people are special, especially Darren he's Special with a capital "S"
Well that will reduce the American population a fair bit more. Isis must be laughing their socks off him getting other Americans to do their job for them.
