Escape Live @ Birmingham.
Basically you're put in a room with your mates and have to find and solve clues to get yourselves out of there. Our room had a Saw theme going on, was quite unnerving but we all pulled together and managed to complete it within the time limit.
After that, on the piss in Brum.
After being used to running our section bar at £1 or £2 a drink, £4.30 for a frickin' cider was a bit of a shock!
Also traipsed around looking for "this place that does food" only to find after about 2.5 miles, the kitchen was closed.l!!!!
So I'm currently on my way back on the train, a little wobbly and feckin starving!!!
Kebab shop here we come!

Mate it was a chuffing travesty, 11 of us to start with, 4 of whom ended up in a sex shop and 6 who were following someone we assumed knew where he was going!
I should've gone to the sex shop!

It's currently looking like something retrieved from Beirut, but the bods on site seem to think it's being extended northwards and turned into offices and flats. Bit sad really, but given the location and proximity to the West End I'm not surprised, thing is it's not the only BBC property in the area so the rest of the family silver may be going up for sale as yet.

Man flu has moved onto my chest so back to the doctors today. The only silver lining is everyday I'm sick is a day I'm not offshore!

Reading an engineer's report all about a lifting platform. It's as exciting as it sounds.

Snuck away for a long weekend break to Burnham-on-sea. Not the most glamorous of destinations, but found a very reasonable priced flat that's a stones throw from the beach.
The weather today has been glorious, so we've spent all afternoon on the beach. Now feeding the kids and relaxing with a cold beer. Hopefully the weather will be good tomorrow so we can do the beach again.

Raked my lawn this afternoon. It's only 40m2 but is mainly made up of moss as it has been neglected. I put moss killer down last week and raked a wheelie bin full of the shite. Just finished aerating it, grass seed and feed and watered it. I'll leave it a few days now, rinse and repeat. I'll scarify the shit out of it late Autumn.

Had a long hard day today, added to which someone's heap of crap car was in flames on the M25 this evening which caused monumental problems and queues. Another 16hr day and be glad to see my bed tonight.

Mate I feel for you, this week on the M25 has been worse than ever, if its not one side its the other, where something has gone pear shaped and I have had to sit in traffic.Deegee wrote:Had a long hard day today, added to which someone's heap of crap car was in flames on the M25 this evening which caused monumental problems and queues. Always worse when you try to pre-empt it by leaving way earlier than you should, knowing your likely to get stuck, only to be in traffic even longer
even more to my annoyance I have done over 1500 miles this week in a fiat 500 while mine was in the shop you get very little respect on the roads anyway, but get in a little car everyone is out to get you

Been there Frankie, in the end the only solution is to us a bike. Reckon on average I got at least 3 hours of my life back per day!
