Thanks for the suggestions. Blades might be the more practical. The ride means I'm going from glaring sunlight to very dark tree covered lanes in next to no time on the ride into work.
I don't find sunglasses very comfortable under my lid.

Not a fan of glasses of any kind when I'm riding. If you were to have an accident there is he potential for something sharp to enter your eye.
Whether it be a ragged shard of glass or plastic it could do a lot of permanent damage imo.

Try the tape trick Kwacky.
It's free and easy to try and nothing lost if it doesn't work out.

Finally rode one of them. After a couple of months off nailing it round a track is just what was called for...
