Trying to stay awake. My wife couldn't sleep and gave up about 2am. She went downstairs. I woke up about 5.20 and didn't get back off to sleep.
I took the car into work. No point riding when you're tired.

Me and my better half, and the in-laws are heading down to Exeter today for a family get together. I'm just dreading the car journey at the moment and I feel sorry for whoever ends up sat behind me because the seat is going all the way back !!

If that was me I'd be kicking the beat from "Do You Remember Rock & Roll Radio?" into the back of the seat the whole way there.Cav wrote: I feel sorry for whoever ends up sat behind me because the seat is going all the way back !!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Lazy-ish day today, I had a lay in then changed the wheels on the car after washing and waxing the summer wheels, Autoglym Magma is really good!.
Then washed the winter wheels and put them in the shed, before putting the mower away I cut the grass.
Then pulled the bike out and gave it a thorough spring clean and de-grease, I bought some foaming de-greaser from Kawasaki at the Manchester bike show so I tested that, one can had no pressure but the 2nd worked okay. I ended up using Gunk inside the front sprocket cover then dried/Polished/Waxed and chain cleaned and re-lubed.
A very satisfying and relaxed day of tinkering... then BONGGGGG! front spring broke on the car as I put it back on the drive... F-Sake. Already got a pair of KYB's ordered for £43.

Off to a Melbourne Comedy Festival show tonight, Jess has organised it and is keeping the actual comedian we are seeing a surprise, and because there is about 150 there this weekend I’ve got no way of working it out

Caught & released a baby possum in the back bedroom. He's soooo cute!
Vicious little fcuker. Took him down the street & released him back into the wild & did it quick in case his Mom showed up.
"the wild" = the schoolyard. The kids will love him.

Having a proper proud dad day.
My daughter decided that today was the day to learn how to ride her bike. And she did.
I got my bike out too and we had a couple of trips round the quieter roads in the village.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I kept off the bike today, finished a couple of DIY jobs for my parents then hung around for a big family meal, which my brother didn't show up for, the poor git is working and got his wires crossed with mum so that means more 6 hour slow cooked lamb for me
I'm currently enjoying some wine and cheese, the weather and arranging a ride with my Italian friend for tomorrow.

Mostly nothing. Gym this morning. A bit of gardening. Fed the spiders. Currently thinking about washing the kwak and the MV

Feasting has been the order of today, as well as entertaining my Sis, her OH and Niece to try and de-stress them from their ongoing disaster at home.

Been to Silverstone BSB.
Warm, sunny and dry. Could not have been more different from my last visit.

Re: What are you doing today ??
For waxing cars, i have found thi stuff brilliant.
Wash the car and while its still wet, spray this on and wipe it off. It doesn't last as long as a harder wax but its so easy to do, you can do it far more often.

I find this to be the far easiest solution to cage cleaning.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Missus told me she had a warning on the dash for a bulb out.
True enough dash says rear fog light failure when I check.
Quick look at the buld and it's not that. Nor is it the fuse. With the obviously out the way I check the connections and the carrier and all is good, so dig a little further.
Turns out to be a broken wire which was a bugger to find but managed to solder a new piece in so hopefully good as gold for another 7 years motoring.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Flew back from Melbourne today, had a great long weekend down there and can’t believe it’s taken me 18 yrs to get down (other than a quick overnighter last year) and have a good look around the place. Will definitely head down again sometime!

I've booked a day off so the rescue centre can come round today and assess the house to make sure it's suitable for the dog.
