My wife's car insurance is up for renewal.
It's doubled.
There's nothing like every company taking the piss during a cost of living crisis.
No wonder there's so many uninsured drivers out there.

Re: Insurance
Can you guys switch to another company, or is it going to be more or less the same situation across the board??

Re: Insurance
It's across the board. The insurance companies didn't make enough money last year. They need to increase their net worth to cover potential losses, so pretty much all insurance is going up. It's being pushed by the re-insurers, the companies who back the insurance companies.

Re: Insurance
Yup.. home insurance rocketed for us too.
What really takes the piss is that my Dad pays less for all his insurances despite everything being much higher value... £90k car, £350k house, etc, etc. Even his energy bills are less. When you have money, everything is cheaper.

I got a quote for a Jaguar I-Pace a few months ago, was mulling over getting rid of the Van, £6224.88 per year with business mileage. Keeping the Van!
