I'm up early to get some cycling in, but my resolve is already fading fast.

Sitting at the airport waiting for the red eye.
Has three hours broken sleep just before I got here, so that’s it in 32 hours yet my body thinks I’m on night shift and wide awake. Just scoffed a sleeping tablet with my cider and hope there is no flight delays or it could get messy
The Sydney reservoir dam that feeds into our river has just started to spill. River is at 2m. Bridge closes at 8m. So let’s hope I win the race!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Well, I did end up actually getting a 20 mile-ish bicycle ride in yesterday after all.... but it was hot (90's), and I was knackered by the time I got home.... those last three or four miles weren't pretty. But I feel good today, so maybe I'll set my sights on another ride tomorrow. Today is cleaning, laundry, guitars, post-ride coma, etc.

Nice work, D! I've just ordered a new rear tyre for my MTB for the Winter months. Gonna try Big Betty!

Feeling old.
Just listening to a radio 1 chatting to a breaking artist and describing how "her music sounds like classic British pop"...
Then citing "the 1975" as a reference!

Well I won. Crossed the bridge as it hit minor flood level, 2 more metres and it will be closed. They are forecasting next day or two.kiwikrasher wrote:Sitting at the airport waiting for the red eye.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Keeping a friend company in York, his H2sx chain came loose so we limped it to a bike garage. Both pinch bolts on the eccentric adjuster have been over tightened and pulled the threads out of the swing arm... He's already called the Kawasaki dealer and warned them, he's coming on Monday to "have a word"

The mechanic here is a good one, made his own thread tap and got it all cleared out and re torqued. Awesome service on a Saturday afternoon.
