Re: Want!
As regards the fuel, a little later in the thread i just read this in reply to someone asking the same question.
: I played it safe--when out in the middle of nowhere I'd stop and gas up even if I still had 2/3 of a tank left. And that saved my butt in a few instances--in some places there are no "next gas 130 miles" signs.

Re: Want!
No not at all. There are some other photos of them with the bike and another of him trying to feed the coyote by hand. Something he nearly regrets doing as they appear fine right up until they try and snatch the food and then nearly take his fingers with it.

Mick, the theme right through the story is to do what you want to do and not what someone else says is either stupid or just not possible. He reckons the human mind and body is far more adaptable than we are conditioned to believe.

Re: Want!
It must be lovely to be able to afford a 1199 as a track bike AND a 1299 for the road.

Want this quite badly... along with a thinner head gasket, engine refresh, quickshifter, profiled cams, and port and polished head...

Re: Want!
A polished head should be relatively easy and free to obtain just needs a little elbow grease at the end of the day

Alot of zx10r track day riders and racers really rate this kit. Not sure if available for the sixR though.
