Went to a mate's house last night. His wife did some buttermilk friend chicken (amongst other things) I could have eaten the lot, it was delicious.

Barring a few exceptions it's the only thing I drink.
Talking to my sister this weekend turns out she has a yeast intolerance, took her a few years to work it out. Will explain why the last couple of years any beer sends me crook, even after one or two pints.

We've ordered a load of dishes from this place for our sunday dinner. Not cheap but worth it if you like a proper kebab.

Re: What are you eating ??
We had Sunday lunch at a local Gastropub to where we're staying, I had smoked salmon and prawns to start and a fillet steak (rare) the size of my fist with veg etc, then a cheese board after, have to say we were very stuffed after that lot, very reasonably priced as well for the quality of food.
We wore the boys out on a 7 hike after that, then tired them out some more with an hour of swimming, so this evening did a buffet tea at the cottage so they could fill up again before tomorrow.
Having been through it before, boys are easy to deal with, feed them well, wear them out and repeat until they turn into Giants. Winner winner chicken dinner.

I LOOOOOVE lamb....very hard to find here, except thankfully, for the Indian place I go to. It's my new favourite type of food.
Plus....the people there understand that a good meal has a ritualistic value to it....not just slapped down in front of you like a sack o' spuds.
Speaking of spuds....where is the fella???

Pizza , made in front of us and cooked in a wood fired oven while we watched. - Yes it was very good indeed, I've eaten at this place in Cardiff in the past, and it was a good meal with queues out the door, easier today, but still excellent food and value for money.
