Re: What are you doing today ??
Being thankful I still have a fiance..
less than 10 mins after Jess finished shift and walked out the entrance from her section of the hospital, a car crashed into the building at the entrance, killing the driver and a pedestrian. Suspected medical episode. Thoughts go out to those that have lost love ones today, but I'm glad it wasn't 10 mins earlier.

Re: What are you doing today ??
You and me both mate. the crazy bit of it is, she finishes shift at 3pm and it happened at 3.20pm, normally about the time she normally walks out after handover. But at her 3 month review a couple of days ago the boss said he didn't want to see her hanging back so much, and to focus on getting out on time. Today she made a big effort to have everything square and was out on time for a change. She saw the ambulances race in as she was walking to her car.

Not her time thankfully.
If you wondered about the what if you’d never go out…
Glad she’s ok. We should always cherish what we are lucky to have
I feel sorry for the families of those involved…

Contemplating going for a bicycle ride.
I'll see how well my resolve holds up after I get a stomach full of bacon and eggs. I'm not hopeful.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Well, I did manage to get out after all and I got about 20 miles in...but I'm definitely feeling it last night & this morning. My legs feel like spaghetti.
Today I'm going to be washing/detailing a Harley Davidson, and then doing a shedload of laundry.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Playing with a new gizmo from Amazon, a digital battery tester. The bike battery is perfect however I bought it because of a low charge warning on the car, yup, the 760 cca battery (Cold Cranking Amps) has 300 so that's working surprisingly well to say it's cooked... Oh and my car has a motorbike battery too, for the electronics while the start/stop system is working which is conveniently located behind the front bumper under the N/S headlight, which is also stuffed.
£140 at Tayna batteries seems fair for 2 batteries and postage.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Ahh tend to disagree. While I don’t look forward to extra years ticking over these days, there is not too much else in my life I feel “too old” for, in fact I think I’m doing better than a lot of people a decade younger.
In fact as a group, I think the TS crew all do a pretty good job despite the majority seeming old to you young whipper snappers
