There's thousands upon thousands of living species just on this one planet alone.
There's no doubt in my mind that The Universe is teaming with an abundance of life... some of which we would understand, some of which would baffle us.
There will have been innumerable intelligent species that have already been & gone, and likewise countless races/species yet to come.
It's beyond comprehension.
