RIP.
Fwiw I met him, when I was a lad, apparently.: Long before his ZX81 fame arrived, he had been a friend & contemporary of my late father.
Obviously I personally don't recall meeting him, but when he was "in the media" launching the C5, dad enlightened me to the fact that I'd actually met him many years earlier.

A real visionary.

I was a Commodore man when I was learning my way through computing but the Spectrum especially was an amazing machine for its price.

I hope he's remembered for that and not the C5
