I have to say overall i'm disappointed.

The acting is awful, the violence unnecessary and the story overly slow. It's almost like a set piece at a time for 'guest stars' such as 7 of 9.

It also relies too heavily on having watched all the star treks as some references are fan only.

Just caught up with the last couple of episodes.

My take..

It's the Patrick Stewart/Picard last goodbye series. Hence the lower than standard acting/script and all the series historic references.

That's that then

Overall I thought it was crap. There really was no point to it and certainly no need to do it. . It was a bit of Next Generation indulgence.

And Data sounding like Nicholas Cage was the icing on the cake.

Yep. Disappointing. The only real enjoyment was 7 of 9. In her 50s now and still gorgeous.

Wtf was the point of the last 10 mins? Bizarre.

No idea. I presume they decided someone had to die so they went down that route. Then set up a new series.

Oh god they are time travelling again.

Do they not have another type of Star Trek story these days?

Well Ep1 was interesting. Borg - good, Q - good, action - good.

My worry is they are time travelling to present day. Hmm. I'll keep watching, but history tells me Star Trek travelling to present day doesnt work well.

Oh and everyone seems to have been promoted to Star Fleet Officer status...

Jerry Ryan - i could watch her all day (h)

It's all over the shop. Borg, weird dreams, young gainan and Q. Q almost seems to be a side story presently...

Seems to be the trend now.

I've got Strange New Worlds to watch this weekend.
