They will eventually, it will be like the 99p barrier. Eventually it will be broken and continue to rise after that

Barrier? It's more likely their goal!

I'm sure I can remember filling my TS50ER tank for less than £1.50

Fwiw I can clearly remember discussing ( aka mutually complaining ) about it when it became clear that fuel was going to reach £1 a gallon. My friend Andy actually said to me "no one will pay that much for fuel, they'll have to keep it below a pound" (smirk)

Andy was half right, they stopped selling it by the gallon and priced it per litre.

And yet you still typically think in miles-per-gallon in terms of fuel economy, yes??

On HGV training today we pulled in to Weatherby services to top the wagon up and it was £1.69.9 a litre... Glad I was not paying that bill.

Back to over £1.56 a litre.

If war breaks out, i wonder how close to £2 a litre it will get?

I was over Wolverhampton way earlier and noticed at a couple of stations petrol was £1.589. I did see one at £1.609.

Frankley Service station (M5) is selling petrol at £1.559

It's anywhere as low as £1.429 to around £1.489 near me.

I pulled in to Ferrybridge services this morning and noticed they are charging £1.70.9 for unleaded, £1.77.9 for Diesel... Anyone travelling around the A1M/M62 junction would do well to go somewhere else for fuel.

It's generally around the £1.45 mark for unleaded near me and a bit more for Diesel at supermarkets, the named brands are £1.50+

Just filled the mini up to go to Sheffield tomorrow, £1.63 for E10! It was due a tank of super, but I didn't win the lottery this week. £75 to fill up a mini FFS.

I've not put super in for a long time.. I simply can't afford it. I'll do it for our holiday to Cornwall next month though.

I'd previously aim for every 5th tank to be V-Power
