Just browsing Reddit, found a stabilized and zoomed view of the landing from one of Labpadre's cameras.

The legs didn't all lock down.

It stayed upright for a while afterwards though. It looked like an explosion sent it upwards before it fell sideways.

Those legs are hydraulic dampers and the methane tank is structural. So I'm guessing the uneven load when it landed damaged the methane tank.

The legs are just crush dampers which swing in to place by gravity and are supposed to latch into the down position when released, it worked on SN 5 and 6 so they thought it would still work on this one. Maybe they will add some hydraulic actuators to make sure they do lock in rather than flapping around for the next one.
SN6 landing leg...

The explosion came from the Oxygen tank, so the common bulkhead or Methane header tank must have ruptured causing an explosive mixture to form, they will nail it with SN11 as they now have all the data they could dream of, it will take a while to pick through it though, Elon has said from the start that the legs are as basic as possible and need improvement.

Scott Manley has again gone very deep in to the details...

It seems that at least for a while it was known internally as the "BFR"...... not hard to figure out what that meant.
Should've stuck with it.

Ah I see I thought they were hydraulic dampers not crush dampers, I didn't mean they were hydraulically deployed. If you look at the nose on landing it goes down and then up a little bit, so that movement has to have been in the rocket body itself and what caused the damage. Plus if not all the legs deployed it wouldn't have seen a sheer force through the body as well.

They seem like an unlikely pair....Toyah & Robert Fripp that is. Been together over 30 years apparently. Well done them.

The Longest Day - every time I see that poor GI land on the church tower at St Mere Eglise, I think I have seen that poor guy and he is still hanging there.

Nope.... that was the guy who was captured, escaped, captured again, escaped again...or something like that.
Got a medal or two for his trouble too. I forget his name.

Great movie.

"Columbiana."

Great flick.... maybe a little brutal in parts, but nothing overboard, I suppose.
Probably.

Oh...and it stars Zoe Saldana, who is quite possibly the most perfect girl ever.
