The south of the state is mostly desert, I think. There's a lot of grassland, agriculture, etc. over the rest of the place, it seems.
And then there's the Dallas Cowboys... they make Texas worthwhile. (rock) (*) (rock)

I hadn't thought of that. Fwiw when I read about the release, I saw this film more as being a metaphor for the destruction our overpopulation was doing.
