I like that analogy Cav

I compartmentalised big time during my spinal cancer scare, was only way I could deal, honestly. I imagined it was in a box up the top of the wardrobe. I knew it was there but it was out of sight and I tried to not let it bother me.

Mine has been awful for the last few days, my daughter is really suffering as well and she doesn't normally suffer.

If it's not stress alone then it could be an indicator of another underlying condition... something more physical or biological, I guess you'd call it.
I suppose??

Time.

So much to do and so little time. I'm looking after myself better today but the day is flying. I'm loving every minute of looking after my Wife and Baby.

I popped home while Bampy visited. An hour has passed and I'm only just getting dinner before I need to relieve him of his duty

I'm feeling burnt out. This constant lock down, working from home and now having to self isolate so I can't go out of the house, my son being ill, my daughter's mental health, still grieving over my mum, by brother being a real prick about my son being ill, the ongoing shoulder issue. I would really love to call a 3 month time out and completely recharge my batteries.

I guess I'm not alone. This pandemic has really taken its toll.

I'm with you there - the combination of frustrations and upset is really draining. I am completely demotivated currently, which is concerning.

Its been a shit couple of years.

I think many of us feel the same way.

Its been a very tough 18 months.

Its deeply concerning how useless those in charge have been throughout this, not just in the UK but in many many countries. They still don't have a plan how to enable us to live with this other than vaccinate people.

Mate I feel you, it’s of no help but you aren’t alone.

I’m doing hotel quarantine pre offshore now. Our company lost their contract with the company we were using for the quarantine camp. US Marines have moved in.

I’m so over it all I’m constantly searching for alternative employment

Motorbikes, motorbikes, motorbikes! Get out on your motorbikes, or do something similar that you can't think about anything else while you're doing it.

Exercise is probably as good a diversion as any.... the body gets a workout & the brain gets stimulated.... you get that "good" tired feeling, as opposed to the bad, lethargic drained type you experience with prolonged inactivity.

I've been feeling down and lethargic the last week especially and I know that it's mostly work related, couldn't even be bothered to get the bike out today. I got as far as taking the chain off the ground anchor and out of nowhere the rain came down so hard I heard it coming up the street!

We are under pressure to do overtime too as they are short staffed so I've not been to the gym for weeks... Tomorrow they can shove the OT I'm off to lift some weights and do some cardio.

Pretty severe anxiety despite having talked about it with people and knowing that everything will be okay. I'm back to work tomorrow and I'm leaving my Wife and Newborn at home.
