My chest and triceps are still sore, still fat though... I blame the cake selection in works canteen.

Back to basics today. Squats, deadlifts, bent over rows and barbell chest press.

Barbell work. Back squats. Over head press. Shrugs. Straight leg dead lifts.

I'm already starting to hurt.

Back at it tomorrow, I gave in to pressure from a friend and went for a jog nearly 3 weeks ago and did my right ankle a mischief...
Yes, this friend is female and looks great in leggings and a matching top.

I miss back days. Always killed my biceps more so than a dedicated arms day too

Back on the deadlifts. 100kg tonight. Not massive but I'm easing myself back into it.

I really need to find some motivation to do some exercise. All motivation is currently missing.

Nice deadlift.. I don't think I did much heavier than that ever. Maybe 120kg. Terrible at dead.

I commute by bicycle today and went home via the woods. I managed to cycle from bottom to top in one go... first time I've achieved that! I also did my new favourite DH trail on the way through and went 2seconds faster now I know it a little better.

I've never even tried a deadlift... I did get up to my previous PB on the leg press last week at 80Kg for 2 sets of 20 then 1 set of 20 at 120KG, Then I remembered that I'm supposed to be loosing weight not bulking up...

I love deadlifts. It's a big bar with weights on and you pick it up. It sounds so simple. Do it right and it's probably the best exercise you can do with weights. Get it wrong and you'll kill your back.

I will add it to the list, might start a touch smaller than 120Kg though, maybe 60 as I can do 2x 25kg bags on the farmers walk with no bother.

Take your time. Do it slowly, don't grab the bar.

Rather that trying to pick the bar up, imagine you're pushing the floor away with your feet. That way you get a better sense of drive and you'll engage your core.

Wear really flat trainers or do them in your socks. I wear converse baseball boots.

I always did squats and the few deadlifts I did in just my socks. Much better engagement and secure base to push from. The same goes for leg press.

My leg press PB was 502.5kg for 2 (maybe 3) and that was with just my socks on.

Ours was maximum 4 or 5 hundred.. can't remember now. My best squat was 180kg but the leg press is a lot easier as you don't need to balance haha.

Leg day with my PT. One of those sessions when you realise you're only half way through and you're already struggling.
