Shopping for a new family cage.

The PHEV battery isn't holding charge as well as it used to. This in turn made the 250 mile drive back from Cornwall with the caravan in tow quite tedious. Back to burning dinosaur remains.

In my experience (personal and helping family) it pays to go to a main dealer most of the time. You pay a little extra but the car will be a decent car for the most part. I always avoid car supermarkets.

The cost of s/h cars has gone through the roof in the last few months mainly due to the shortage of new cars.

my Audi was valued at £13k just 4 months ago.

Webuyanycar would now give me over £17k for it.

I just checked mine. Webuyanycar are offering £105 more than I paid 18 months ago and with an additional 18k miles.

They are offering us 1k more than the best dealer trade offer we've had.

I really wish I could sell now and wait a couple of months to buy.

This got me thinking, I really like my car but I paid £10500 for it...

Now I'm wondering if I can go back to a banger and save that finance payment.. Might get a settlement figure later.

Even if you took out a couple of grand on a new loan you'd get a really decent car for that.

Going to look at a bit of Bangernomics, a £750 Pug 207 HDI sport... yay

And clearing out a shed after disconnecting the mains power.. Probably a day of 2 sheds... Better get off the laptop and get it done.

The pug was a bust, engine trying to rock itself out of the engine bay and dent's/rust on both rear arches, seller just shrugged and said "what do you want in a cheap car, it's sold as seen"
I'm not getting good vibes from the car or the guy so it's not coming home with me.

Next up, the rotten and ever more leaning shed, full of hairy spiders and rat piss although still cleaner than the back seat of that Peugeot... I need a shower

Doing absolutely nowt today. It's 95F outside and staying indoors with the a/c on never sounded so good.
And we still haven't maxed-out.... I reckon we'll be nudging 100 in a couple of hours.
Time for ice cream, methinks.

That takes me back. I would go in early and leave early so I could grab a couple of hours sleep before anyone came home.

Great shout.. except the Wife will be home with the little man.

When I get home I always take him for a bit to give her some down time. I just love his ever-earlier bed time as I can get to sleep at a reasonable time.
