That's really not on Rossgo.
You'd think by now they'd have figured a more resilient design.
Except that they probably make more from replacement visors than the helmets themselves.

StMarks I think you maybe right there. The lid is really nice and does its job well but visors are terrible!! Didnt hear anything back from HJC Customer Service, fingers crossed next week. I can't afford to keep replacing them every 6 months!

Facebook , they have changed something and I can no longer export directly from Lightroom , which is a real pain in the arse . I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and use smugmug or some other photo site at a cost of about £180 pa .

American working practises infiltrating into the UK.
Youngsters seem to be bullied into accepting contracts that effectively make their lives the property of the company.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Caravans!! I love getting away for our yearly £100 caravan holiday but each year (bar last year due to not having one) I always forget just how cold they are at night
But we always say we aren't here for this we are always here to explore the area
But I do have a vent - I think it's our fire alarm that keeps beeping every 30 or so seconds, all night long, I believe the battery is going. I'll have to go to reception and inform them

I thought that was one of the benefits,; You have to cuddle together to keep warm.Rossgo wrote:Caravans!! I love getting away for our yearly £100 caravan holiday but each year (bar last year due to not having one) I always forget just how cold they are at night
Should have just taken the battery out, and handed it in to them in the morning. That battery fail chirp is designed not to be easily ignorable.Rossgo wrote:C.. alarm that keeps beeping every 30 or so seconds, all night long, I believe the battery is going. All our internet traffic is logged. Watching porn on company network contravenes company policy.D41 wrote:I hope that's not true, I really do.
So all my porn was downloaded prior to coming out
But then you have to delete it before entering Aussie again so you don’t get done for importing graphic material.
The real problem is dickheads trying to stream Netflix etc. I download a series before I come out. But I would like a tad of bandwidth so I can FaceTime the kids from time to time.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
People who buy my bikes!!!! Every one has been a total cock wobble
Just sold the off road bike .. sold it from FB market place. Guy was working in Oxford but going back to Essex that night.
Stated he had the cash... came at 6.00pm the other night and paid by bank transfer ..by 9.00 the money still hadn't gone in and I had to tell him that it was my bedtime
He kept showing me the transfer but there was no way I was releasing the bike .
Finally went in about 10.00 the next morning.
2 guys pick it up .
Now had a txt to ask me that there is no V5 ...I did say in the ad that it isn't road registered but all the docs are ready so that it can be tested and a V5 applied for ..now moaning about it .. I give up

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Some people don't bother to read the ads before picking up something or asking questions. My misses has sold things on FB and we specifically have stated No delivery - PICK UP ONLY and she would constantly get people asking can you deliver!!
I sold my genuine seat cowl on my old ZX6R many years ago and the bloke who bought it for £25 or so , never used, still pretty bloody tip top condition moaned about a slight scratch/ mark which was most probably caused by the shredded paper that I placed around it first of all then I decided that wasnt a good idea so got bubble wrap around it then used the paper to pack it out
He sent me pics and I couldn't see anything! These things were going for god knows how much, the price I sold it for was chinese copy with a wait time of 4 weeks cheap but he messaged well out of order and said I'll give you bad review regardless you're never sell on here again, it stated new and you gave me this crap, I have a pristine bike and I'm GOING TO HAVE TO get it resprayed blar blar blar. Want 50% off.
I wanted to say F'off mate send the bastard thing back. But being young I bowed out and gave him 50% back. If he got it resprayed it would of cost him double what he paid for the cowl but would still be a lot cheaper than if he had bought brand spankers from a dealer. I should of stuck to my guns and said no!

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Vent from yesterday ALOT OF SWEARING
Why in Wales do they look after their roads so much? We past a group workmen resurfacing a stretch of road and by the looks of it the whole road was being done bit by bit. I would of said it was to an mm prefect, no divets, not a single piece of stone thrown to the side of the road. It was lovely. Every single workmen had a job to do. They must of been piping hot working around there as we saw the mac steaming. They all were doing what they had to do. Didnt see one of them reading a paper or on their phones
Then across the border we have England. The workmen are told to lay tar and then throw stones on it. Leave it for 6 months letting all the stones settle into the tar. They do this quickly and never come and check up on the road again. If they did they would find their road full of grit everywhere as they didn't sweep it up making it potentially life threatening for bikers and drivers alike, they would find that all the divets and uneven surfaces that they were trying to get rid of have all come back as they haven't redone anything for the foundation and it's the foundation that water companies and electricity companies have destroyed AND why the f/_/(k don't they talk to one another. I have witnessed our resurfacing guys redo a piece of road. Them leave and the very next fu(king morning a company come back and dig the fu(king road back up to do work on water pipes. Don't these guys talk to one another? Does my nut in. A road that is 4 years old looks like it 100years old.
Also the council in their wisdom have earned a pretty penny selling loads of land around our area to move in all these Londoners with their £700+ homes and they have resurfaced a road which never needed it, what with, fu(king stones. It's been fine for years and they've come along and f/_/(ked it up within 1 night. Our roundabout is full of stones everywhere people flicking them up over cars and worse pedestrians and their children
Beggars fu(king belief

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
A legal question. If a car driver or rider slip on the gravel left by workmen either damaging the vehicle or worse another person. Can the rider/ driver reclaim their money or set up legal proceedings from the council instead of insurance?
I would put it down as incompetence and performance whilst at work for the workmen who resurfaced the road or potentially the same issues with higher up management (health and safety team or environmental team who surely have all the working instructions for not stating that the gravel needs to be swept up after being laid and the area needs to be cleaned up and all health and safety issues need to be addressed before leaving the site.
Does that make sense?
