190 miles all over the Peak District, lunch at The Yondermann Cafe and up to Hebdon Bridge by all the nadgery little roads before my head got sunburnt and I left my mates to head home, even cruising on the motorway was hot.

The bike handled it better than I did. (sun)

Been out with Perkles to Caffeine and Machine.

I took the SX yup get some miles on it.

The recommended rev limit may have gone out of the window.

That is worth it in my book. My SV650 gave a Porsche Turbo a run for its money until illegal speeds

The second guy had a 200m head start.

You could see the driver's shoulders drop as two bikes went sailing past him like he had deployed a parachute.

I had my 6000miles service at 8000miles the other day at Sutton motorcyles.

Would have been ok, but they only did an annual service so didnt balance the throttle bodies or provide the report for it. and the bulb that has gone in the front wasnt replaced, yet they ticked they had checked the electrics.

And none of the squeeky pivots (lie sidestand and rear brake pedal pivots) were greased. Kind of got the impression it was a case of move bikes through the workshop as quickly as possible. Not a great impression.

They apologised and got me back in. But I had to argue the bit about my headlight as they were trying to say only 1 out of the 2 headlamps lights up when on low beam.

And to make matters worse the bulb they used to replace it wasnt the Triumph part number one (but a cheap alternative) so has a yellow tint instead of the blue white colour.

Think i'll probably go back to using staffordshire triumph in future.

That's not good to hear. I know they're busy but that's no excuse for crap service.

Yeah.... you know you're in trouble when they can't even change a lightbulb properly.

Dealers seem very busy in servicing.

I know Ducati Coventry can’t do anything now til the end of August.

nope it felt shit on those roads, the Duc and Africa twin destroyed me to be honest
I was pinned coming out of corners and it was only just keeping up, very good riders on local roads also helped
I have to be honest I am thinking of getting rid of the BMW again its not really doing it for me I definitely prefer the Gen 3 I had it was far more engaging to ride

You'd be better off putting some slicks on your KXF in the Peaks

Today I gave it a checkover and plugged it in to TuneECU as I had some strange hesitation last weekend. I had a map uploaded for a straight through exhaust but have removed the shouty Delkevic and fitted a standard system with no cat.
It turns out there is a map for that exact system so I copied my changes (lower fan temp and speedo calibration) to that map, saved and uploaded to the bike.

The good thing about these older bikes is you can fiddle with them at home, trying to arrange a ride for tomorrow to give it a test 8)

I put the top two baffles in the brutale. It's still lot I but hopefully it's tolerable after an hour.
