I rode with some friends to escort a Scottish friend home up to the Scottish boarders with a Pit stop at the Manor Cafe near Leyburn on the way up to Kielder for lunch at the castle where we met her other half and they showed us some nice roads on the way to Longtown where we said out farewell's.
We took a slightly quicker route back from Kielder Castle with a fuel stop in Penrith then non-stop home avoiding motorways from there left me with my first aches on this Sprint, 355 miles in total and only slight knee ache to show for it after 3 hours without a break, and less than half a tank used on the dash in that 130 mile stint.

Thinking back 130 miles had me getting nervous on the MT-10 :D

Might refit the standard exhaust for my next 12 hour day though (raaar)

Edit to add detail, I was knackered after all that and got sunburn on my head, in SCOTLAND! what the hell (lol)

Got my gixxer out for the first time in about 6 weeks. I'd got used to riding my Ducati Scrambler so much that I couldn't find the pegs on my gixxer. When I did finally find them I thought fook this. Way too uncomfortable for me now. I'm thinking of selling the gixxer.

Took the SUV into work. A nice ride in once I got some petrol. The local petrol station is having some work done so no fuel. The next place is the services at Junction 2. £1.50 a litre. :@

The roads were fairly busy. I reckon traffic was at about 70 or 80% of what I would normally see.

It went down to around £1.02 a litre in lockdown a year ago... I was paying £1.43 last weekend but that was for the good stuff, they were out of 95 octane so it got a tank of V-power, the bike seems to like it.

It's about £1.27 a litre by me. Motorway services always charge extra.

I haven't been able to afford a tank of Vpower in the car for a long time now. Prices are getting silly again.

Does anyone else feel that electricity prices are going to rocket once electric vehicles are the majority?

I think we're still a decent length of time from EVs being the majority in sales, nevermind In actual majority gross numbers on the road. So in other words I think it's too early to make predictions....or at least make them accurately.

Not sure that is true.

Manufacturers are selling as many as they can make.....but just like everything in the UK these days, the infrastructure to support that is sadly lacking .

Bear in mind that installing a solar panel system makes fuelling an EV virtually free. Its road charging that will be high on the agenda as a result.
