Welsh Weekend - Early September
As mentioned in another thread, it doesn't look like we're off to the Isle of Man this year
So does anyone fancy a weekend in Wales? Probably the first weekend in September so hopefully (fingers crossed) the weather is still good).
We could have a base in somewhere like Welshpool, so it's easy enough for people to get to. There appears to be a decent selection of pubs and hotels there. It's not too far from the famous A483 and it means we can get to most of Wales within a decent time. Routes etc can be worked out closer to the time, but I would propose meeting up Friday lunchtime to give people time to get there. Probably spend Friday afternoon having a couple of hours nearby, I guess doing the A483 run.
Saturday we can spend the day exploring some of the quieter and better roads of Wales.
Sunday people can leave after breakfast or we can have a small ride out before lunch then everyone goes home.
Friday and Saturday nights hook up for a few beers and some food.
People can join us on any of the 3 days as they wish.
Is there any interest?

Yes interested but will need to consult the diary keeper as to when Alex goes back to Uni.

If it's that weekend we do it then it's before the kids go back. Birmingham schools start back the following Monday (3rd) . Universities usually start the Autumn term two weeks after that.

I'd consider coming over for that but am on hols doing a bit of a tour of Germany, Italy and Croatia possibly (in the car though).
A great idea for those that can and a nice change to the IOM (and way cheaper tbh).

Alex is likely to go back when he can rather than when Uni starts. That is where all his mates are now.

The first weekend is good with me, can't do the weekend of the 8th as already booked.
