Shot peened? Not only does it give a desirable finish, it also improves tension/compression strength of a material

The OEM mirrors are off and I've put black blanking plugs in.

The bar ends are solid. It's an H6 hex nut. I've got one but it's old and there's a bit of play in it. I don't want to risk rounding the hole out so I've ordered a new one.

Perkles managed to get the bar ends off the Brutale. They used so much locktite it's ridiculous.

The bar ends are threaded and screw straight into the handlebars. The Rizoma bar ends are the expanding bolt type. I've put them on and fixed the mirrors to them but I'm not 100% comfortable using an expanding bolt bar end in a threaded handlebar.

R&G do bar ends that screw in. They also have enough space on them to fix the mirrors on so I've ordered a pair.

The OEM bar ends are too narrow and are slightly rounded, so the Rizoma mirrors don't sit on them very well.

My Evotech radiator and oil cooler guard are in the post so I should get them this week.

The evotech guards have arrived but they've been damaged at some point. The oil guard holding lug is bent round almost 360 degrees.

I've fired them an email.

The R&G bar ends are too thick for the Rizoma mirrors.

I'll call Moore Speed tomorrow and see what they say.

I know you talked about replacing the handlebars which would also fix the mirror problems.

Yep. That's an option. But I was putting that on the back burner for over winter. If I get Rizoma bars then it's Rizoma grips time as well

The owner of Evotech just called me. He apologised for the problem. He sent me an email yesterday but I didn't get it.

Anyway, he's already sent me out a replacement oil cooler.

Fantastic customer service

New grips
Bar ends
Mirrors
Oil and radiator guards

All fitted.

The grips are equal length. The bar ends have to sit up slightly over the lip of the handlebars. This means that the grips are very slightly squished.

The problem this creates is that the throttle doesn't snap back. I've trimmed some of the end off the grip and that seemed to work but I didn't trim quite enough off once the bar end was fully tightened. I didn't realise until I had wheeled the bike back in the garage and tucked it up. I'll sort it out tomorrow. I suspect I'll end up just getting the Rizoma grips and being done with it.

The radiator guard is slightly bent but you can't notice unless you're looking It sits pretty well against the radiator so it's doing the job.

Looks like it has a bit of a fly screen already.

If you want a no wind blast day just ride the SUV.

I actually like the fact I can ‘feel the speed’ on the Street.
