Doesn't take much of a payrise for me to be a higher tax payer now. Am I right in thinking the 45% rate threshold has increased?

Nope. The 45% remains the same.

That's a big tax hike for me. I'm not happy. It's going to hit a lot of people.

Panic over. I've just realised it's £37k over the personal allowance. Not £37k as the starting point.

A massive £70 increase in the personal tax free allowance. :(

Wait til they start having to pay back all this free money they have been giving away for a year.

Negative interest rates imminent too according to the Bank of England.
