On top of his own dropped bollocks, rising inflation, Interest rates and energy costs are going to make Johnson’s life very difficult over the next six months.

How on earth can they just make changes to the law like this with no debate or challenge. Frightening.

BBC News - Minister says she can't find minutes of Covid meeting with Randox
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-59320858" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The corruption going on here is astonishing.

So a company fails to deliver a £133 million Government contract...so a minister gives them another £347 million contract and when asked where the minutes of the meeting are agreeing to this, the minister says they have been lost.

How is this allowed to go on?

I see they've changed the rules again about paying for care when you're old and they've changed the triple lock pensions.

Basically they're screwing the elderly now, unless they're rich and old.

They are going to announce the cancellation of the Leeds HS2 rail link today as well. He surely is going to find someone else is wanting his job soon.

We have the idiot in charge that too many idiots in this country voted for.

Any sane person would not want to take on the legacy he has left…… but we are talking politicians here who allow their egos to take presidence cover common sense.

He's right, but the average Jo(e) on the street doesn't give a shit. They care about doctors appointments, holes in the road and the number of dark skinned faces they see each day. These people believe that immigrants are the reason there's a lack of funding for schools and the NHS, that immigrants caused the libraries to shut, the roads to fall apart, the lack of policing and probably covid.

Tory MPs are giving Johnson shit today about him pulling HS2 from the north. Robbie Moore and Huw Merriman have been vocal during a transport committee meeting, as has Sir Edward Leigh. He said "HS2 was always a white elephant, now it's missing a leg".

I like Merriman's quote: "this is the danger of selling perpetual sunlight and then leaving it others to explain the arrival of moonlight"

I don't even know what/when the baby-boomer is or was?
What would that be...the succeeding 20 years or so after WW2...?? '45-'65 or so?
Maybe less than that.

HS2 is only a white elephant because so many people have fingers in the pie and we have too many wealthy landowner NImbies.

Rail travel is the future not the past. It’s the private car that will ultimately become extinct.

Most other countries around the works make rail travel work and they are a decade or more ahead of the UK in terms of rail development. It’s clean, it’s fast and it cheap if done right.

You can't beat the convenience of a car though. Public transport can work wonders for commuting, or just general needs in & around a large urban environment... but what about when someone's needs go beyond that, what then?
