Re: Helmet Poll
My last 2p - Try them on.. I find AGV's block my vision when I have my head down whereas the HJC sits fairly high meaning that when you're at maximum lean you don't have to strain your neck to see ahead. Also the AGV is fairly weight in comparison

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here
Haha.. yeah I was hoping to find a certain type of videography but instead found bike talk!
It was through googling about brakes that I stumbled on a thread then had a quick scout through and liked what I saw to be honest

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
MLR193, that's difficult for me to comprehend as I went from OEM to EBC HH to Brembo SC and each time it was an improvement in feel and power. I really don't rate the OEM pads. To try and help me get my head around this, is it a case that they are quick enough to make any brakes look good or is ther...

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
I thought I'd replied but clearly didn't press "Submit" - Idiot! I swapped the lines for SS when I fitted Brembo SC and WOW! What a difference over stock The thing in Bendix favour is the extra pad material compared with SBS. 9mm vs 7.8mm thick. That could help me get an extra day out of t...

Re: Helmet Poll
The HJC is more flexible at the opening and lacking noise isolation, the popper that keeps the flappy bit of the strap neat broke and the vent wheels and toggle on the nose are poor quality - they still work but they just feel cheap. Also, not a problem for myself might I add, my mate who uses on is...

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
It's an 09. I can get DC for £70 for both calipers. Some sites are charging £270 for the DS pads !!
Never heard of Bendix personally. A few mates of mine raved about SBS for a while while I was raving about the Brembos so thought I'd give them a go

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
THese things are so confusing !!
I'm struggling to find a set of DS for less than £200 !!!! If this is the case then I will be forced to use DC

Re: Fc moto
I've had great issue with them over pricing before but besides that they have been good as pie! The advertised price was not the price in the basket and they wouldn't honour it. I explained the situation and they were extremely unhelpful. I managed to find the suit cheaper else where so went there (...

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
I saw that chart, that's the only thing (besides price) that is putting me off as it says about being a national level and I'm only in the back half of the qualifying times currently.
Are the DS the brakes which require a lot of heat build up or is that the DC?

Re: Racing
I very much enjoy taking myself out of my comfort zone to learn something new... One of the first things I did when I got my ZX6R was heavy brake from 100+mph and lock up the front wheel just to see what happened. The tyre screeched over the bumps, I proceeded to release the brake lever and them pro...

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here
Just checked out the Master Cylinder - that's a nice looking bit of kit! Sadly I have to restrict myself otherwise I would be in debt by thousands of pounds haha. It seems like a good bunch of people from what I've read on a few threads, it'll be nice to chat to people with different bikes for a cha...

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
Technically yes..
..The bike is off the road for Winter when I will be replacing the discs with Brembo 320mm discs. That's when I plan to fit the new pads and rebuild the calipers.

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here
It's not even the parts that catch my eye - there was a 2012 T675R which was recently Cat D'd up for sale after being converted into a track/race bike. NIX25 fork internals, TTX36 shock, fairings, clip ons, rearsets, powercommander, exhaust system, something stupid like 600 miles and so much other s...

SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)
This is probably the first post of mine that you'll come across so Hi! I'm after your personal experiences with the above Brake Pads... I currently use Brembo SC pads but they only last me 2 trackdays and cost £120+ which is a figure I can't continue to support. I am therefore looking for a cheaper ...

Oh no! I've been recognised! Haha. Which facebook page? You have to get a few under your belt next year, it's what keeps me on the right side of sanity. I've been on there a few times but not registered... I'm trying to put off registering until I have the money to get what I want otherwise I'll be ...

Re: Helmet Poll
I voted AGV as it looks the best with the suit IMO. That said, I would probably buy the HJC myself. I'm currently using the HJC RPHA-10 (Spies version) and I love it. It isn't as good quality as my Arai, nor as comfortable but it is so light and the vents are so good that the rest can be forgiven. A...

Hello, I've just joined the forum and thought I'd say hey! I'm from Gloucestershire, I'm 21 years old and am in the 4th year of an Engineering Apprenticeship - currently doing Applications Engineering for Machine Tool Products. I used to ride all year round having started my biking life on a Piaggio...
