... me or scares me, at that point I'm screaming blue murder at either the reason for my anger or to no one in particular if its just me/the bike/the road surface causing the problem. It's much the same on the track as the road, I'm normally concentrating so hard there's nothing left for anything ...

Yes I always talk to my self or sing , on the way home up the m1 the other day in the rain i repeated "Why the F!"£K are there speed cameras here when they have finished the barrier / road" no one was listening but it help my sanity at 50mph.

That guy with a blue thing was a mutter, he came running out of a field into the road to have a go at us as we shot past.

... a different breed now to what they where even 10 years ago. Tyres, brakes, chassis, electrics, etc all have improved immeasurably. But riding on a road circuit against the clock is always going to be a risk, but that's what the riders love IMO.
