Re: Shropshire Wednesday Night Bike Meet
I went to this last night ... looks like we've finally got a venue which will grow and grow.
Good roads, good sized tarmac carpark, good facilities and a motorcycle stunt team who section off some of the carpark to practice
I'd say there where 100+ bikes there last night

... thing it's about time they addressed the two main problems... 1 - Stop teaching people to pass a test and teach them to drive (that goes for bikes as well) 2 - Get some enforcement back on the road so people don't carry on with this attitude of "I can do what ever I like as there's nobody ...

Re: Bikes in the News
They also fail to remind people that it's middle aged bikers who are more likely to become a statistic. Absolutely, as it just so happens I had a conversation this morning at the gym with a rider who fits this demographic. He stated that he realized he started riding too late in life and was consid...

It is reasonably balanced.
What they fail to point out is that cars are the biggest killers for those in the 18-30 age bracket in this country.

How many cylinders in your household?
A bit of fun this one... Count up the total number of cylinders for all the internal combustion in engines in your household. Cars. 'bikes, hedgetrimmers, lawnmowers etc - add them all up and give a list! I'll get it started: 30! Jag - 6 Mondeo -4 Citroen - 4 Strimmer - 1 Generator - 1 Chainsaw ...

People who don't ride bikes or enjoy bikes will never understand the passion bikers have for their sport IMO. That will forever be there loss and I sincerely hope they have something else to fill that empty void with as an empty life ...

Re: Show me your garage!
Back in the day when I still had bikes (a CB500, VFR800 and Thunderbird 900) I organised my garage as below (subsequently it got done over and my tools and tool box and mountain bike got nicked...but that's a different story!) "Stuff" ...

I don't doubt racing bikes is much like riding road bikes in so much as some bikes feel great instantly you get on them and others are hard work. It was specifically the front end they said was crap. They reckoned the front had too much rake.

CTEK mxs 5.0 battery optimiser
I've always bought Oxford optimisers for the bikes and they sit on their 'umbilicals' while they are in garage and I wanted something for the Jag which sits in the other side of the garage when not in use. As the Jag has a couple of battery's (one ...
