starting up the platform process again post 5 day maintenance shut down... the wells are looking wobbly and a good percentage of us are hoping it comes back at reduced rates bringing us closer to the end

Destroyed a gearbox casing on a large isolation valve. The mechanical stop was mis-adjusted and wasn't very robust

Luckily the valve I was closing is never to be opened again, so some belzona instant metal mix and stop-aq weather seal tape sorted it out

I'm going to increase my job hunting efforts again now and I absolutely won't leave until I have another job to go to, I have dependants. The job market is full of stuff, but the salaries seem to have dropped. I've definitely got golden handcuffs ...
