Re: Poll: Has the Isle of Man TT become too dangerous?

When hasn't the TT been very dangerous? Sure speeds are faster , but bikes are a different breed now to what they where even 10 years ago. Tyres, brakes, chassis, electrics, etc all have improved immeasurably. But riding on a road circuit against the clock is always going to be a risk, ...

... the grass round our house this morning.. It's a bit late starting this year so I'm hoping that it might be a little easier to bare than previous years. I normally end up on prescription tablets and a nasel spray just to stop me going insane.

Kids today wave a knife around and demand respect.

These kids and men 70 years ago show how you gain respect.

A bit of house fettling then off to the QE to see the consultant to see what effect the higher dose of steroids is having.

I'll also be having a couple of minutes quiet reflection time at about 11 to remember those who lost their lives 70 years ago to enable us to live the lives we do today.

Re: Hayfever season

Mr BB and my eldest are horrendous sufferers,

My gp suggested sniffing salt water, try doing that to a nipper at 2 years old, it did seem to give temporary relief but not sure if it would be classed as child cruelty now

This sort of thing always chokes me up

70 years ago we prepared for the largest military operation and the liberation of Europe. Countless men gave up their lives, countless women and children lost theirs. We will never understand what those people went through ...

Re: Trackdays - Moving on up

I'm glad you posted this. I was thinking about Novices as I don't know the circuit, having last ridden it about 14 years ago. They've thrown in a chicane since then, I'm track rusty and on my own road bike.

Hmmm.

Alan and Chris, I would take the fan off and clean the rad fins out. To be honest it's not a big job to take the rad off an clean it properly.

I did mine a few years ago and while it was off sprayed it with exhaust paint
