First gen daytona 675 quickshifter

... thing - a quickshifter. Obviously the OEM one doesn't fit the first generation bikes so I'm after a stand alone unit and don't want to piggyback another system (like a PC3). I have heard of failures in strain gauge types with friends breaking DynoJet and Triumph units. I'm currently running ValterMoto ...

Re: Squeaky bum time (onboard from snetterton)

Didn't watch all the vid but I'd say you need to move up to inters. Your relative speed to most of the others is too big and recon you'd feel a lot safer in inters. It's much easier and it all flows better when you're arriving at a corner doing similar speeds to the other ...

... natural progression. My Dad used to race go karts, my bro used to race side cars and my unc done a few stints at the TT. I couldn't afford any other form of transport when I was young so had to ride in all weathers. No more though, sunny weather for me only now

Engine temps again

Just on the coolant temp note from the other thread, my bike heats up very quickly. When I am doing around 30-40 the temp will rise until the fan kicks in. If I am stopped it will rise quickly to 102 and fan kicks in and it will stay at that ...

I figured I probably wouldn't either, but free is free. I'd expect my other half would though if I'm on the laptop.

Re: Round the world travel on a bike

I feel like I live my life on a very structured plan that consists mostly of putting other peoples' needs first. I'm also a meticulous planner by nature, a worrier, and a calculator of risk/reward.

I envy so much the ability of this guy to do what he did. Massive props!

I decided to take a run through the gorge and out the other side to see where the road went to, glad I did as it's quite a road and also useful for getting back out to bath / bristol. I was speaking to my Dad the other day and he was telling me about his family tree research. He got into it a few years ago and has managed to get a few hundred years of "Itchy's" into his records. It is quite interesting, although ...
