Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2
Not much to report, I took the bike up to Alston today and found some really tight and twisty roads up near there. The tyres are fantastic and I'm slowly getting used to the handling of this big bike. 274 miles and all on 1 tank is nice, Also fun being on comms with my friends and hearing them swear...

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just sat watching the rain and random youtube stuff, I woke up at a normal time today and think I'm suffering "Jet-lag" without even leaving the country... My job hunting is turning up a few other night shift positions but I really need to get off that nonsense. I think we're still in the ...

Just been tinkering with the car replacing the rear washer jet and it's pipe, nice to get it working properly.
And just about to take it to my former employer for its MOT, should pass as it's in good condition with new brakes all around.
EDIT
Passed with no advisories

TFE with a more light hearted video about that time the US Marines won a duck in a poker game and made it an alcoholic, it also took part in amphibious landings and fought a 'possibly' Japanese rooster... More than a few fowl jokes, they attacked at the quack of dawn. Sgt Siwash, aka The Devil Duck....

Re: New phone time
I'm in the same position in May, I really don't "want" any of the new smartphones out there. There's nothing wrong with my near 2 year old OnePlus 10 pro, even the battery is not wearing out, camera is excellent and it does everything I want it to do. Looks like I will be going to a Sim on...

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2
Yesterday I spent a few hours taking the bike apart like lego, the tank and rear racking came off too, it was not long before slow and steady fighting threadlock gave way to the electric impact gun. https://i.imgur.com/kilITAF.jpg All to fit a couple of wires so I can run a better horn, bought on eB...

From reviews I've found, they won the German Motorrad test, Chris Moss loves them and a couple of youtubers say they have way less slides in wet and greasy conditions than Road 6's and last longer... (Ridercamtv) Different tyre but my Italian friend has Dunlop Mutants on his S1000XR and loves them, ...

Gave it a wash and realised just how much of a pain these things can be to get properly clean, but before I washed it I saw a thing, a bad thing... A cut in the rear tyre, so I found a non damaging thin thing to see how deep this goes. A cut off zip tie worked well. https://scontent-man2-1.xx.fbcdn....

Another Fat Electrician video. It's interesting to see his shift from a history based comedian to more of a serious historian.
This one is about Percy "Hobo" Hobart, a British tank genius leading up to WW2

There's definitely something going around, I had a couple of days off a couple of weeks ago, I had no energy at all for 2 days and took a week to get back to normal. On Saturday I delayed the first service by a week, tomorrow's forecast is bright and sunny, -1°C, I don't fancy riding on ice.
Next Monday is scattered showers and 11°C so a bit better.
