Re: LED Indicators

I would avoid the cheap ones. You don't know how long they'll last or how effective they are. Check to see if they need resistors Buy expensive ones and you don't know either. I has some cheap Chinese ebay sequential rear indicators on the rear of my Ducati Supersport 939, they were still going whe...

Re: Undercover MOT Inspector

We don't have MOTs on motorcycles in France and there are not thousands of biking deaths due to dangerous bikes. We don't have road tax on them either.
Come to think of it we don't have annual technical inspections on microlights either, nor checks on our flying licences.

Re: Brexit thread

Best one that I have seen so far! Many people voted for brexit to get rid of all the Europeans who come to the UK, well that has happened. It seems now that the country has some room left so what do the government do? They invite hundreds of thousands of Chinese people in and offer to pay to get the...

Re: Brexit thread

we in the EU......... (swear) (lol) I was not allowed to vote in the referendum, but I now have my French residency card so I am staying here in the EU, where I feel at home. Just as an aside, I went out for a nice long ride on Saturday as there is no lockdown here and it was lovely and warm. ;)

Re: Brexit thread

no more CE marking for machinery but the UK government haven't come up with a viable option yet :D Yes but only for machinery that you want to use yourself, we in the EU don't want want it. Perhaps you could sell some to south Korea, or maybe they make their own. Perhaps you could produce cheaper l...

Re: Brexit thread

The brexiteers are still waiting for all the other EU countries that were going to leave once the UK left. I understand that all the EU car manufacturers were going to go bust without the UK market. While brexit is in the news daily, the French people in my area either have not heard of it, or don't...

Re: Brexit thread

The blame for brexit sits on the shoulders of 17 million people. they knew all along that politicians tell lies yet they still made the choice to vote the way that they did.

Re: Brexit thread

There are far too many people on motorcycle forums trying to find something good in this brexit lark. They seem to think that people will now buy British, but the nature of being on a bike forum means that they are happy to buy a foreign bike. Even Triumph are now made overseas. What about the car t...

Re: Brexit thread

It's what over 17m people wanted though. Remember, they all told us that every single one of them knew what they were voting for It's the will of the people That is exactly what I think. I am lucky in that I got out years ago and now live in France. It is very easy to laugh at the twats complaining...

Re: Brexit thread

Ultimately the people who have decided to restrict travel and require a test to travel are France, not the UK. International travel has been a well discussed risk for the last 9 months, this month being a good example, so extra restrictions due to the circumstances should not be a suprise. Managed ...

Re: Brexit thread

I doubt that anyone with their feet on the ground will get to read or understand the 2000 page document. I now hope that it all goes wrong and the UK ends up with no deal as it will have little effect on me. I love to point out to people that it is what your country voted for, and take no blame myse...

Re: Brexit thread

The fishing industry might seem like a small thing but what the UK wants is against the basics of the EU Let us just say, as an example fish type X is mostly caught in UK waters and mostly consumed in mainland Europe. At present any EU/UK boat can go fish for X as UK boats can fish for Y in EU water...

Re: Brexit thread

We can strike a deal with the EU any time we like. Absolutely, but doing that deal while the UK is is still sort of working to the EU rules and regulations is easier than doing it after Boris has torn up that rule book just to be different. As I see it now, The huge EU trading block has rules for t...

Re: Brexit thread

I'm expecting a no deal brexit. We'll have a few months of shite to deal with. They'll reach a deal mid year Politicians know that people will find a deal with the EU easier to accept once they've seen what no deal looks like and in the meantime the disaster capitalists will have made their million...

Re: Brexit thread

#takingbackcontrol Just love that. Brexit is giving the French more employment in monitoring the fishing stuff and manufacturing UK blue passports. I wonder if there is a tariff on importing passports. I have my ferry booked back home to France on the 30th, I can then watch the shit happening from ...

Re: Brexit thread

The fishing lark is rather interesting according to something that I read a few weeks ago. I seems that all boats, from any EU country including the UK, were given quotas. Some greedy UK fishermen in the south west sold their quota to foreign boats for thousands. After brexit they can go out fishing...

Thanks for that information. I started as an aircraft tech in 1975 in the RAF. I finished in 2004 as an aircraft engineer in charge of the UK Tornado fleet maintenance policy as an MOD civil servant.

Unless it's a Saxo VTS then Citroen is your problem! Haha A car is a tool for me 90% of the time but every now and again I'll go for a spirited drive.. it's my release. Sometimes the Wife and I will go for a slow drive down the lanes too, sometimes we talk, sometimes we don't but it always makes us...
